Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join our Data Center facilities team in Sparks, NV. You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, troubleshoot events, and support rack installs and maintenance, ensuring 24/7 reliability.

Working on-site, you’ll help manage vendor work, participate in PM and root‑cause analysis, and contribute to change management with clear technical writing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in the relevant work area.
• Ability to bend, twist, and work in confined spaces on site.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems for reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• Coordinate and complete projects from conception to finish.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per procedures.
• Handle shifts up to 12 hours and on-call rotations.
