Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hamlet, NC is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical facilities including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety systems.

You will join a front‑line team, work up to 12‑hour shifts, travel between sites, and support safety, change management, and ongoing PM and repairs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
