Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure and ensure 24/7 uptime.

You’ll work on electrical and mechanical systems, generators, UPS, cooling, BMS, EPMS, and collaborate with a diverse team to keep AWS data centers running reliably. Travel between data centers is required; shifts can be up to 12 hours, including nights and weekends, with on-site support for contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience or 2+ years electrical plus 1+ years mechanical experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations and work a flexible schedule (nights/weekends).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS; assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.
• Perform rack installs/decommissioning and preventive maintenance; execute projects from concept to completion.
