Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia (Sterling) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical data center infrastructure, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will work on 24/7 reliability, with on-site shifts up to 12 hours and potential travel between sites. This role requires 2+ years in electrical/mechanical facilities maintenance and flexibility for weekends/nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs; perform rack installs/decommissions.
• Carry out PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
