Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Covington, GA is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities and ensure near-constant uptime.

You will work on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, including standby generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment. The role requires bedside hands-on maintenance, on-site support, and potential travel between sites; flexibility for longer shifts and on-call rotations is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects end-to-end.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per practices and legislation.
• Shift changes up to 12 hours; some locations have on-call rotations.
