Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to support mission‑critical facilities across multiple sites.

You will contribute to maintaining 24/7 reliability with electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling equipment. You will work with a diverse team, travel between data centers as needed, and may rotate schedules with on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience (preferred).
• Technical (Military/Trade School) training (preferred).
• Associate or higher education in related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical and mechanical equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• On-site support of contractors, ensuring work complies with practices and laws.
