Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center facility equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, CRAC, chillers and cooling systems.

The role requires flexible shifts, travel between sites, and on‑site collaboration with vendors and contractors. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor BMS/EPMS, and support change management while upholding safety and reliability across multiple

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
