Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to act as the frontline for hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance in mission-critical facilities.

You will monitor and troubleshoot standby diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, ensuring reliability and uptime across data center operations. Join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, with opportunities to work on complex infrastructure, participate in change-management

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of equipment.
• Prepare technical write-ups to support change management.
