Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical infrastructure at our Wink, TX site. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to support 24/7 operations.

Expect to monitor BMS/EPMS, assist with rack work, and collaborate with contractors across multiple facilities. The role requires flexibility for long shifts and travel between sites as needed, with relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed meets practices and local legislation.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
