Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical data center facilities.

You will work on electrical and mechanical systems including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and life-safety systems, ensuring high uptime and safety compliance. The role requires flexibility, travel between sites, and the ability to work up to 12‑hour shifts, with on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance, or 1+ years of mechanical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLAs.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
