Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician for DCC Communities.

You will be on the front line maintaining mission-critical data center facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems, ensuring high uptime and reliable power for AWS services. The role requires travel between data centers, with flexible shifts up to 12 hours, on-site support, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in electrical or mechanical, or data center facilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Technical documentation for change management.
• Manage work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors per procedures and local laws.
• Shifts up to 12 hours; some locations require on‑call rotations.
• Role may support multiple locations/sites.
