Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join a frontline team responsible for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment in a Dublin, OH data center. You will rotate 12-hour shifts, monitor critical systems, troubleshoot events, and perform preventative maintenance while upholding safety standards and customer commitments.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in noisy environments, and readiness for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant work experience.
US government security clearance of Top Secret or above, or 1+ years of relevant technical position experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in uneven terrain, heights, and ladders.
Ability to work non-standard hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
Perform limited maintenance tasks such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed while performing work.
Work a 12 hour shift (rotating 3 and 4 day work weeks days or nights).
Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment during rounds.
