Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Colorado (Aurora) is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation in a 12-hour rotating shift. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintenance, and incident response within security and safety guidelines.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in loud environments, and occasional non-standard hours. US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications include 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Able to bend/twist body into unusual positions while working.
• Able to use hands to manipulate small wires and objects.
• Able to walk on job sites in uneven terrain and work at heights or on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform maintenance tasks: filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU/ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians and perform RCA of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during all tasks.
