Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an accomplished leader to serve as Data Center Engineering Operations Cluster Manager, Data Center Community.

This executive role oversees multiple data center facilities, directing area and facility managers to ensure uptime, reliability, and cost-effective operations. You will partner with global teams, drive continuous improvement, mentor managers, and implement standardized processes across sites, while maintaining 24x7 readiness and alignment with AWS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing high‑performing technical teams.
• 5+ years of managing managers experience.
• 10+ years of mission critical facilities experience.
• Deep knowledge of data center facilities and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop the operations management team including facility managers and area managers.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyses, and reports on critical facility operations.
• Oversee on-site management of 24x7 shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Maintain sustainable organizational structure and staffing forecasts.
• Coordinate with real estate, engineering, and construction teams on staffing and projects.
• Mentor and develop employees; participate in recruiting events as needed.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives and capacity planning efforts.
