This role directs a large organizational structure across multiple facilities, maintaining 100% service uptime and aligning with Amazon's customer-centric mission. The ideal candidate will have extensive mission critical facilities experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record in managing complex technical operations across data centers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams.
• 10+ years of mission critical facilities experience.
• In-depth knowledge of data center facilities including generators, cooling, electrical systems, and fire safety.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop the operations management team including facility managers, area managers, chief engineers, and facility technicians.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operations, and report on critical facilities management.
• Oversee on-site 24x7 shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to practices and procedures.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives and capacity planning across multiple data center locations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and global partners to implement global initiatives locally.
• Manage safety, security, incident response, and cost (OPEX/CAPEX) for all data centers.
