Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians to operate and maintain critical data center equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, AHUs, and pumps.

The role requires 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules and the ability to work in a high-security data center environment. Candidates must hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and, after start, obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• After start, must obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, generator, and fire/safety equipment in the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform limited maintenance such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU and ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Write procedures and ensure safety procedures are followed.
