Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician to join the ADC InfraOps DCEO team.

You will operate and maintain critical data center electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, and building automation systems, ensuring continuous, safe operation. This role requires US citizenship with TS/SCI clearance, 12-hour rotating shifts, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Able to bend or twist the body into unusual positions.
• Able to manipulate small wires and objects.
• Able to walk on uneven terrain and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform maintenance tasks including filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
• Provide support to Data Center Operations technicians.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
• Work 12 hour shifts (rotating 3 and 4 day weeks).
• Take daily operational readings of equipment during rounds.
