Job summary

Unisys Corporation is seeking a Provider Field Engineer to perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation of Dell products at customer sites. You will triage issues with Dell Support and execute plans from Dell Domain Engineer/L3, documenting results and updating logs and service reports.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with possible technical certification or an Associate Degree, and typically 4–6 years of relevant experience. Some travel to customer sites may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, parts ordering, preventative maintenance and installation of Dell products at customer site.
• Triage issues with direction from Dell Support.
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3.
• Document POA results, logs and service reports to Dell via case email.
• Reseat or swap parts as needed and verify server testing.
• Upgrade firmware as needed and manage parts locker.
• Manage spare parts separate from the locker during deployments.
• Return parts to Dell.

What success looks like in this role:

• Provider Field Engineers will provide troubleshooting, repair, parts ordering, preventative maintenance and Installation of Dell product located at Customer Site.
• Triage issues with direction from Dell Support
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3
• Document POA Results, logs and service reports (Parts numbers/PPID of old/new parts replaced) to Dell via case email
• Reseating parts, swap or replace parts
• Server Testing and validation (running diagnostics, capturing and uploading logs)
• Upgrading Firmware as needed
• Parts locker management, manage inbound and outbound parts
• Spare parts management, separate from parts locker (during CW server deployments)
• Parts return to Dell

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• May require technical certification or Associate Degree
• Generally, 4-6 years' experience in area of responsibility
