Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is actively recruiting for a Data Center Engineer II to join our client in O'Fallon, MO. This 24-month contract role involves end-to-end data center technologies, asset tracking, and hands-on hardware installation with a focus on reliability and uptime.

Responsibilities include monitoring HVAC, power, cooling, and electrical systems, configuring cabling, and maintaining SOPs. The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks, lift up to 125 lbs, and work on-site with

Qualifications

HVAC/CRAC, chillers, air handlers, UPS, switchgear, generators, fire protection systems, BAS experience.
Structured copper/fiber cabling, testing of cables, and electrical systems concepts in data centers.

Responsibilities

Deploys data center related end-to-end technologies.
Tracks assets and cabling using standard documentation.
Monitors alarms for data center equipment and MEP systems per vendor specs.
Performs hardware installation and decommission of enterprise servers and cabling.
Troubleshoots data center hardware and networking infrastructure.
Monitors SIEM for anomalies and takes action.
Racks and stacks data center equipment and powers servers to provisioning teams.
Maintains electrical and mechanical plant including HVAC/CRAC, chillers, air handlers, UPS, generators.
Documents and updates standard operating procedures for the data center.
Supports inventory by tracking parts and returns.
