Job summary

Not disclosed company is seeking a data center technician to deploy end-to-end technologies, track assets and cabling, and monitor alarms for data center equipment. You will respond to incident tickets and complete change requests as assigned.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field and 2–4 years of related experience or equivalent experience. Preferred: HVAC/CRAC, cabling, BAS, and data center systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deploys data center end-to-end technologies and tracks assets and cabling.
• Monitors alarms for data center equipment and responds to incidents.
• Responds to MEP alarms and completes change requests as assigned.
• Handles incident tickets and performs related tasks as directed.

Job description

Position Purpose:

Deploys data center related end-to-end technologies. Tracks assets and cabling using standard documentation. Monitors and responds to alarms for data center equipment. Monitors and responds to alarms for the mechanical/electric plant (MEP). Completes change requests and associated tasks as assigned. Responds to incident tickets as assigned.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 4 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

One or more of the following skills are desired.

Experience with Change Management

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience with Troubleshooting (Problem Solving)

Soft Skills:

Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
