NSC Global in Kentucky seeks experienced Data Center Engineers to join a high-performance operations team supporting a large-scale data center environment. You will perform on-site hardware maintenance, diagnostics, break-fix support, and technical services for enterprise server infrastructure in a 24x7 setting.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of data center operations and infrastructure support practices.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, cabling, and hardware connectivity.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite break-fix and corrective maintenance activities on enterprise server platforms.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware-related incidents and failures.
  • Replace and install server components including storage devices, memory, processors, power supplies, and networking components.
  • Conduct hardware diagnostics and system validation following maintenance activities.
  • Support rack-mounted, high-performance, cloud, edge, and enterprise server environments.
  • Document service activities, asset changes, incident resolutions, and maintenance records accurately.
  • Escalate complex issues as required and collaborate with engineering and support teams.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, security policies, and safety standards within the data center environment.
  • Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of service and knowledge transfer between teams.
  • Maintain readiness to support coverage requirements and operational continuity during planned and unplanned absences.

The successful candidates will provide on-site hardware maintenance, diagnostics, break-fix support, and technical services for enterprise server infrastructure operating in a 24x7 environment.

Essential Skills



  • Experience supporting enterprise server hardware in a data center environment.

  • Strong break-fix and hardware troubleshooting experience.

  • Knowledge of server maintenance, repair, and component replacement procedures.

  • Understanding of data center operations and infrastructure support practices.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, cabling, and hardware connectivity.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

  • C1 Local Language (spoken & written)

  • B2 English (spoken & written)


Preferred Skills



  • Experience with enterprise rack, edge, cloud, and high-performance server platforms.

  • Prior experience in a 24/7 operations environment.

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or large-scale data center facilities.

  • Familiarity with remote management, diagnostics, and out-of-band administration technologies.


Qualifications



  • Technical qualification, diploma, or degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Hardware Technician, Data Center Engineer, Infrastructure Support Engineer, or similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. [


Work Environment


This position is based full-time within a live data center environment and requires adherence to strict operational and safety standards. Engineers should be comfortable working around server infrastructure, cabling systems, and mission-critical equipment while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
