Job summary

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Data Center Electrical Engineer Owner's Representative Project Manager to lead the electrical scope of data center construction projects in Austin/San Antonio, TX. The role supports the Owner’s specifications, quality standards, and commissioning methods while coordinating with global and local teams.

This senior PM role requires extensive MV/LV expertise, collaboration across multiple engineering groups, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contractor

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical experience.
• Knowledge of data center design concepts, NEC, NFPA 70E and OSHA safety requirements.
• Extensive experience with medium voltage power distribution (AIS & GIS switchgear, controls schematics, MV cable installation, relays).
• Experience as Field Service Representative (FSR) or NETA testing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and controls schematics & diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of data center electrical designs from BOD to IFC for new builds and upgrades.
• Navigate HV to MV to LV system issues and coordinate with QCx, GC, EC, PM, and DCOPs to ensure quality and schedule.
• Manage power system issues through concept, detailed design, procurement, and on-site installation.
• Define scope of work for equipment portions of major upgrades and document configurations.
• Interface with Global Commodities, manufacturers, and engineering teams to deliver electrical solutions.
