Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Dublin, OH is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS data centers from design inception through site maintenance.

You will be the go-to engineering resource within your region, collaborating with Operations, Design, and Construction teams to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. The role requires strong engineering judgement, effective communication, and experience leading engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering including data centers, power generation, or oil/gas facilities.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform RCA, and document corrective actions for data center/site equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex procedure reviews.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to increase capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Work on multiple projects across regions; manage concurrent timelines.
• Lead engineering audits, on-site visits, and produce risk reports with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction, supporting commissioning and turnover.
