Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, seeks a full-time Electrical Construction Estimator-Data Center in Chester, VA. This role prepares cost estimates for electrical projects up to $50M, writes proposals, and leads the proposal review process to secure accurate scope and costs.

You will own project documentation from Pre-con through hand-off, establish budgets and change orders, and coordinate the estimating effort while negotiating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years estimating in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Accubid experience and change-order pricing required.
• Data Center project experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and specs.
• Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects up to $50M.
• Write proposals capturing scope and costs accurately.
• Lead proposal review and ensure documentation readiness.
• Own project documentation from Pre-con to hand-off.
• Establish budgets, buyouts, and change order formats.
• Coordinate total estimating effort and negotiate with vendors.
• Serve as client contact and support other departments as needed.
