Job summary

Hanley Energy seeks an experienced Estimator to join the estimating team, focusing on Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and the installation of Hanley Energy products in data centers across the AMER region.

This role partners with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Project Management to develop competitive, accurate estimates for new and existing opportunities, manage RFQ processes, and support project turnover while

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electrical estimating, controls estimating, or electrical construction.
• Experience with BMS/EPMS or critical facility infrastructure.
• Experience estimating electrical installations in data centers.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specs.
• Understanding of power monitoring, distribution, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of labor productivity, pricing, and project costing.
• Experience developing BOMs, budgets, and proposals.
• Proficiency with Accubid Anywhere, Bluebeam, Salesforce, Office/SharePoint.
• Experience with retrofits and upgrades in existing data centers.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specs, site info, RFQs, and customer requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for BMS, EPMS, power monitoring, and electrical installs.
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and commissioning estimates.
• Estimate electrical installation and integration of Hanley Energy products into data centers.
• Develop project scopes, BOMs, quotations, and proposals per standards.
• Manage RFQ intake, document control, scope reviews, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with engineering on design, integration requirements, deployment strategies.
• Obtain supplier pricing and support commercial evaluations.
• Identify risks, exclusions, scope gaps, and constructability concerns.
• Support budget pricing, conceptual estimating, and value engineering.
• Maintain estimating docs, proposals, and sales pipeline.
• Participate in project turnover to ensure transition to execution.
• Build relationships with customers, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables comply with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
