Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Data Center Engineer in Electrical Engineering to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems across our data centers. You will oversee site-level electrical engineering issues, ensure compliance with design standards, and provide technical guidance to vendor teams.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and rapid project delivery in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to data center services and operations teams to define electrical system design requirements for multiple and simultaneous DC projects from inception through completion.
• Collaborate with Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) core teams to develop, implement, and manage the data center electrical designs at site starting from basis of design (BOD) to be issued for construction (IFC) data center services documents for new DC projects build outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
• Gain an understanding of the electrical project requirements ongoing at the site and respond to site-specific engineering RFIs in coordination with the engineer of record (EOR).
• Participate in new technology insertions through collaboration with the core engineering team to provide site specific requirements during the development of site specific BOD.
