Job summary

Google is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Data Center Services to drive consistency in electrical design across North America. You will act as SME to on-site execution teams, shaping Basis of Design and construction documents for new builds and upgrades.

You will lead, mentor engineers and coordinate with cross-discipline teams, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency while pushing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12 years of mission critical facility design and construction experience.
• 12 years in electrical design, operations, and commissioning of substations and power systems.
• 5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical leadership to on-site DCS teams across North America.
• Represent DCS in electrical design development from BoD to construction documents.
• Act as escalation point for site engineers on RFIs and design alignment.
• Collaborate with core engineering to develop BOD and system schematics.
• Lead on-site DCS engineers, GCs, and vendors to manage power system issues.
