Job summary

Aligned Data Centers seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the engineering team on technical topics and collaborate with internal and external design teams to ensure compliance across data center projects. Responsibilities span early design input, validation of installed conditions, annual site assessments, and evaluating next-generation technologies.

The role emphasizes cross-functional communication and advancing electrical engineering practices while growing industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in data center or mission critical electrical and mechanical design, construction and operations.
• EIT certification or FE test plan required.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience.
• Experience with interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Ability to understand construction project scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• May travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design: Review and support for electrical technical standards and updates.
• Review and support for each phase of design deliverables.
• Assist content preparation and presentation to achieve business approvals.
• Support conceptual/directional design decisions at inception.
• Review and support for major equipment product commitments.
• Execution: Review and support for commissioning scripts and procedures.
• Review and support for commissioning reports.
• Assist with technical investigations and problem solving.
• Reliability: Technical support for site performance shortfalls, failures, and issue resolution.
