Job summary

SpaceXSI is building a Super Intelligence stack and is seeking a Lead Data Center Electrical Engineer to design, build, operate, and maintain high‑capacity power systems for AI campuses in Memphis, TN. You will lead a small on‑site team to scale electrical infrastructure to meet compute demand.

Responsibilities include defining MV to GPU rack architectures, enforcing redundancy schemes, and coordinating with mechanical, EPCs, and owner’s engineers while ensuring NFPA and IEEE compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of electrical power design experience.
• Experience owning medium‑voltage distribution architecture from 10 kV to 35 kV.
• Professional Engineering license or plan to obtain one.
• Experience with high‑density AI compute and liquid‑cool deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical architecture from the medium‑voltage bus to the GPU rack for scalable AI compute halls.
• Set and defend the redundancy basis; assess bus‑fault, transformer‑loss and switchgear‑loss contingencies.
• Establish campus electrical design standards including tagging, drawing conventions, insulation coordination, grounding, and arc‑flash boundaries.
• Coordinate with compute team on rack density, power‑capping, and utilization vs nameplate.
• Coordinate with mechanical and cooling teams on CDU, sidecar, and pump electrical loads and hall demand.
• Lead design reviews with EPCs, OEMs, and owner's engineers; approve vendor drawings.
