Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to plan, supervise, and direct installation teams, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

This role requires a deep understanding of project drawings and installation requirements. You will collaborate with the Project Management Team on buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking, mentor field supervision, and perform takeoffs and pricing for changes while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Journeyman license or engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision.
• Experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or data center environments.
• Experience with $20M-$100M electrical projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain.
• Understanding of scheduling, cost control, and supervising large teams.
• Ability to perform takeoffs and pricing for changes and related work.
• Strong communication, organization, and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and direct personnel in electrical system installations to ensure safety, on schedule, and within budget.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality first.
• Understand project design, drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Collaborate with PM team on buyouts, schedules, labor, and tracking.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor and train field supervision and electricians.
• Perform takeoffs and pricing for change orders and project work.
• Evaluate productivity and adjust schedules to optimize efficiency.
