Job summary

AFL is seeking an EHSS Supervisor – Data Center Operations in Ashburn, VA to lead field safety across active data center campuses. You will coach field personnel, audit compliance, and drive risk reduction while supporting incident investigations and contractor safety oversight.

The role requires strong leadership and the ability to stop work when risks are detected. Reporting to the EHSS Manager – Data Center Operations, this field-intensive position demands 5+ years in EHSS within construction

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in EHSS, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
5+ years EHSS experience in construction, data center, or field-based operations.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements.
Ability to travel up to 60% and support off-hours activities.

Responsibilities

Provide field-based safety leadership and compliance oversight for assigned campuses and projects.
Support EHSS program execution, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct field audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Mentor EHSS Advisors and operational supervisors to raise safety standards.
Coordinate contractor safety oversight and address deficiencies with leadership.
Apply stop-work authority when conditions present imminent risk to people or property.
