Job summary

Arup is seeking a Data Center Leader based in Houston to advance our data center design practice. The role requires strong technical design experience, project leadership, and effective stakeholder management across internal and external teams.

You will drive delivery of complex data center projects, act as Engineer of Record, and mentor the team while expanding Arup’s regional data center capabilities and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical or Architectural focus.
• 15+ years delivering design and consulting for mission-critical facilities.
• Texas P.E. license preferred and relevant project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of data center projects with internal and external teams.
• Quality control reviewer and Engineer of Record on multi‑million projects.
• Manage stakeholders, client expectations, and relationships.
• Define schedules, staffing, and cost targets for projects.
• Identify and manage project risks and ensure profitability.
• Develop cross‑functional teams and act as SME regionally.
• Represent Arup at industry conferences and client meetings.
