Job summary

CoreWeave in New York is seeking a Data Center Design Manager to lead architectural, MEP, and LV/IT infrastructure designs for leased data center facilities. You will coordinate with data center providers, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure designs meet performance, efficiency, and scalability requirements.

Travel about 25% to sites; you will mentor design staff, review submittals, and help drive standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of data center design experience.
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure (cooling, power, BMS).
• Experience with high-density data centers and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Professional certifications (Uptime Institute, BICSI, LEED) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and coordination of multiple data center projects from concept through detailed design.
• Act as single point of contact for design on assigned projects, coordinating with providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal SMEs across electrical, mechanical, LV/IT, and BMS disciplines to ensure design alignment.
• Apply design guidelines and best practices to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Review and manage deviations from the Basis of Design and track design-related approvals.
• Prepare and deliver detailed project reports on budgets, schedules, and progress.
• Visit sites to review design implementation and ensure adherence to specifications.
