Job summary

Flux Resources is seeking a Data Center Design Architect for a full-time, on-site contract role in Austin, TX. The person will lead architectural scope across complex, high-density data center projects from concept through construction and handover.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in data center or facility design, a relevant architecture degree, and strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms. Python/Dynamo skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in architecture or data center design
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of codes, fire/life safety, and mission-critical design
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools
• Experience managing external AEC vendors on complex projects

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design development from concept through documentation and handover
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, security, and controls teams
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
• Conduct design reviews on space planning and standards alignment
• Review construction drawings and vendor documentation
• Manage external architecture/engineering partners across design phases
• Use Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud for coordination
• Apply Python and Dynamo to improve workflows
