Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Planning and Deployment Engineer (PDE) to plan, coordinate, and enable data center capacity delivery across locations. The PDE will bridge program management, engineering, LVVs, and field deployment teams, ensuring readiness and complete requirements for field execution.

The role emphasizes technical deployment experience, vendor management, and strong project-management skills to drive on-time capacity delivery while maintaining quality and documentation integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years data center, telecommunications, or low-voltage infrastructure deployments.
• 5+ years structured cabling (copper and optical fiber).
• Ability to review and validate technical deployment documentation (BOMs, cut sheets, rack layouts).
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, testing, and validation methodologies.
• Experience coordinating low-voltage vendors and contractors in complex deployments.

Responsibilities

• Ingest new data center capacity projects and drive deployment readiness.
• Review project requirements and validate BOMs, cut sheets, patching, and rack layouts.
• Identify gaps, risks, dependencies early to prevent delays.
• Coordinate RFQ activities and vendor engagement for deployment.
• Serve as central coordination point from project intake to field handoff.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Coordinate design change requests and ensure documentation is updated.
