CoreSite, LLC in Reston, VA, is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer I (Swing) to operate and monitor mission-critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems in a high-availability data centre. The role supports customer infrastructure, responds to alarms, and coordinates with vendors and teams to ensure uptime.

The Swing shift runs Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00pm–10:00pm, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems
• Perform facility inspections, respond to alarms, document findings, and manage work orders in CMMS
• Coordinate with senior technicians, contractors, and vendors on maintenance and upgrades
• Provide advanced remote hands, manage trouble tickets, incidents, and customer requests
• Contribute to procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
