Job summary

BGIS in Olathe, KS is seeking a Critical Facility Engineer to maintain essential mechanical, electrical and control systems in a data-center environment. The role emphasizes reliable client service, safety compliance and a proactive approach to system maintenance.

You will perform routine, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, order parts, coordinate with vendors, and ensure work orders are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar environment with HVAC or electrical knowledge helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and client-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients and respond to service requests.
• Respond to emergency calls.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades.
• Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor vendors and contractors to ensure work meets BGIS and client standards.
• Accurate and timely completion of work order requests.
• Escalate issues to Critical Environment Facility Manager as needed.
