Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Connectivity Construction Manager to lead planning, deployment, commissioning, and turnover of connectivity infrastructure for data center projects. You will coordinate contractors, engineers, operations, and vendors to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and design specs.

The role requires 7–10+ years in telecom/data-center construction, fiber/cabling expertise, and strong scheduling and change-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, or a related discipline.
• 7-10+ years of experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, data center construction, or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience deploying fiber optic and structured cabling in large data centers.
• Knowledge of data center connectivity systems and critical facility operations.
• Experience coordinating contractors, commissioning teams, and operations personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across design and construction stages.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover of connectivity infrastructure for data center projects.
• Oversee deployment of fiber optics, structured cabling, racks, cabinets, and network spaces.
• Coordinate activities between contractors, engineers, operations, commissioning, and vendors.
• Review drawings, scopes of work, and specs for constructability and compliance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; identify risks to milestones.
