Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support a large-scale data center construction program. The role involves advising clients on strategies, preparing and reviewing cost estimates, and managing cost control and reporting across multi-building implementations.

The candidate should have 3–5 years' cost management experience in construction, preferably with data centers or mission-critical facilities, and may hold or be working toward RICS accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction projects.
• RICS accreditation or working toward it is advantageous.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bid documents.
• Develop project estimates covering construction, fees and direct costs; review junior staff estimates.
• Present cost reports and forecasts; maintain risk registers and hold project team meetings.
• Review payment applications, change orders, and contractor entitlements; advise client on disputes.
• Oversee invoicing process and conduct post-contract reviews.
• Document lessons learned and develop training materials.
• Establish procedures for project handover.
• Utilize bid analysis sheets, take-off software and other estimating tools.
• Conform to SOX controls where applicable.
