Job summary

Applied Digital is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer – Operational SME to design, implement, and optimize control systems within data centers. You will ensure reliable, efficient, and secure operations across BMS, EPMS, and automation technologies, while guiding junior staff and engaging with clients.

The role requires deep expertise in building management and electrical/automation systems, with responsibilities spanning project leadership, troubleshooting, and strategic input on data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CDCP, PMP) are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, controls engineering, or a similar role with proven expertise in BMS/EPMS and automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cooling, and power distribution; ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain control systems for data center facilities (BMS, EPMS, automation).
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems; perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and vendors to optimize automation processes while ensuring safety and standards.
