Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead large, multi‑million dollar controls construction projects in data centers across the United States. This remote role requires travel to sites as needed, with potential travel up to 50% depending on projects.

You will oversee profitable execution, cash flow, and delivery within scope, schedule, and budget, collaborating with multiple teams while adhering to regulations and Johnson Controls' ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 8+ years of direct project management experience in data centers.
• PMI/PMP certification expected within 2 years of employment.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to translate technical material for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution teams, ensuring safety and ethical practices.
• Develop and manage project schedules, scope changes, and change orders.
• Analyze financial reports and schedules to identify issues early.
• Negotiate and manage subcontracts, ensure contract alignment.
• Coordinate training, commissioning, and handover to customers.
• Support sales and management on project development initiatives.
