Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Leader to take a senior role on large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. The candidate will stay hands-on with controls while expanding responsibilities in leadership, project delivery, budgets, and client relationships.

Ideal candidates have strong PLC/SCADA expertise, experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA, and a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams through design, construction,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer Science/Engineering, Math or Physics.
• 7+ years of engineering experience, including exposure to construction projects.
• Master's degree may be considered with 5+ years experience.
• Strong background in industrial controls and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and/or Ignition SCADA.
• Experience progressing into technical leadership or project management.
• Ability to lead across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with estimating, budgeting, and engineering finance.
• Good understanding of technical and project risk.
• Mentoring engineers and technical staff.
• Approximately 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls engineering delivery on data center and mission-critical projects.
• Provide technical leadership across engineering disciplines.
• Oversee design and implementation of PLC and SCADA systems.
• Provide expertise around Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ignition SCADA.
• Manage projects from design through construction and commissioning.
• Identify and manage technical and project risks.
• Develop project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Build client relationships and act as a technical advisor.
• Support planning, scheduling, and commercial management.
