Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced controls-focused construction professional to lead the Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient data center controls solutions. The role requires 4+ years in contracting and vendor management, a relevant engineering degree (or equivalent experience), and willingness to

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience on construction and project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree; 5+ years of relevant controls experience in a critical environment.
• 5+ years with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for AWS data centers.
• Ensure data center controls are deployed per SOW and specifications.
• Review MEP drawings and provide feedback.
• Develop controls bill of material (BOM).
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate difficult situations.
• Work under tight project timelines.
• Financially manage construction and service contracts.
• Provide technical assistance and support to internal customers during data center life cycle.
• Schedule and supervise quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS.
• Develop control logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
