Job summary

Amazon is seeking a controls engineer to join the AWS Data Centers team in Ohio. You will design, implement, test, and optimize BMS and EPMS across data centers, coordinating with operations and vendors while adhering to Amazon leadership principles.

The role demands strong project management, technical expertise in controls, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include lifecycle support, scope and LOE development for projects, and regular site visits to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with general contractor and vendor management in construction projects.
• 5+ years of control systems experience in critical environments (data centers, pharma, etc.)
• Experience with industrial controls and HVAC/SCADA systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train internal customers on BMS/EPMS configuration, validation, and operation.
• Provide technical support during life cycle of data centers.
• Develop project scope, schedule, and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and execution of improvement projects.
• Participate in on-call schedule for immediate BMS/EPMS support.
• Review and iterate on controls sequence of operation (SOO).
• Design and modify control logic programming and GUIs.
