Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New Albany, OH is seeking a Global Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, manage projects, and maintain BMS and EPMS in AWS data centers.

You will work with a team of experts, implement new processes, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure reliable operation of critical electrical and mechanical systems. The role requires a mechanical/electrical engineering background, 5+ years of industrial controls experience, and strong project/vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant controls experience, OR 10 years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data center, pharma, manufacturing, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bids, change orders, QA, RFI/submittal tracking).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers with design, configuration, validation, installation and operation of BMS/EPMS.
• Provide technical assistance to operations during data center life cycle.
• Review quarterly maintenance results for BMS/EPMS and drive resolution.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS improvements.
• Manage scope, schedule, finances and execution of BMS/EPMS projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFIs, vendor proposals and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for immediate BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to Controls and stakeholders.
