Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia (Stevensburg) is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, manage projects and maintain BMS and EPMS across AWS data centers.

The role requires experience with industrial controls, vendor management, and active TS/SCI eligibility with a polygraph, plus the ability to travel locally to data centers and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial control systems, hardware and software.
• 2+ years of general contractor and vendor management in construction and project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 3+ years of controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Train internal customers on BMS/EPMS configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical assistance and support during lifecycle of the data center.
• Develop scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule and finances for BMS/EPMS improvements in AWS data centers.
• Procure related activities including RFPs, vendor proposals and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call for BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to management.
• Review and iterate on controls SOO and feedback to design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and GUIs.
