Job summary

Google is seeking a Controls or Systems Engineer to lead BMS/EPMS/ICS integration for data center projects across the US. You will act as the primary on-site technical authority for automation, ensuring the sensors, controllers and network architecture are installed and data is accurate.

As a technical lead, you will coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and facilities teams, translate complex requirements into actionable steps, and guide contractors to meet schedule, quality, and safety

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5 years as a program manager or technical program manager.
5 years in controls engineering, automation, or systems integration.
5 years in BMS/EPMS architectures including DDC, PLC, SCADA and with BACnet/Modbus/SNMP.
Ability to travel up to 50% for on-site support.

Responsibilities

Provide design development oversight and ensure owner’s requirements are met.
Perform periodic site walk-throughs to verify installation and readings.
Resolve design vs field discrepancies to prevent delays.
Ensure installations meet electrical codes, cybersecurity standards, and project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address sequence issues during construction.
