Job summary

Google is looking for a Controls or Systems Engineer to execute and deliver data center automation projects, mastering BMS, EPMS and ICS. You will act as the primary on-site technical authority for integrating mechanical, electrical and cooling systems, ensuring perfect sensor/controller network alignment with the design intent.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Eng or related field.
5 years as program or technical program manager.
5 years in controls engineering, automation or systems integration.
5 years in BMS/EPMS architectures incl DDC, PLC and SCADA, plus BACnet/Modbus/SNMP.
Willingness to travel 50% to project locations.

Responsibilities

Provide design development oversight and ensure owner’s requirements are met.
Perform periodic site walk-throughs to verify installation and readings.
Resolve discrepancies between design intent and field conditions.
Ensure installations meet local codes, cybersecurity standards and project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve sequence issues during construction.
