Job summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced construction safety professional to monitor EHS performance on data center projects and ensure GC compliance. Relocation assistance is possible for the right candidate, with onsite opportunities in TX including Abilene, Haskell, Vernon or Wichita Falls.

The role requires strong safety program oversight, site tours, risk assessments and collaboration with owners and management reps. A degree or equivalent experience is acceptable with 5+ years in safety roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; experience considered without degree.
• Minimum five years of construction safety representative experience; data center or mission critical preferred.
• At least 2 years supporting safety programs and overseeing GC + subs compliance with safety codes.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite; ability to read architectural drawings; knowledge of MS Project, leases and contracts.
• Familiar with building codes and systems; detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ground-up construction experience including MEP, heavy equipment, environmental and electrical safety (NFPA 70e, NEC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor GC EHS performance and compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Provide data on EHS performance, including KPIs and incident management.
• Participate in safety meetings and notices to communicate EHS information.
• Conduct daily site tours and safety walks with GC and owner's rep.
• Coach safety committee and support risk assessments.
• Investigate Significant Incidents and SPE.
• Escalate non-compliance to GC and owner management reps.
• Ensure EHS data submitted by GC is accurate and timely.
• Conduct monthly GC EHS evaluations.
• Issue weekly EHS summary.
• Oversee Boots on the Ground program.
• Support design reviews across Life Cycle and development of the DCCEHSP.
• Other duties as assigned.
