Job summary

The Weitz Company seeks a Quality Control Inspector to support data center projects in Des Moines, IA. You will verify that construction activities conform to codes, standards and project specs, and document inspections and artifacts for turnover.

Required: minimum 3 years construction experience, strong communication, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple inspections. Lean experience and data center familiarity are a plus; Procore/Bluebeam proficiency preferred; visa sponsorship not

Qualifications

• 3+ years construction-related experience required.
• Lean principles experience desirable.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope, quality requirements and contract docs; ensure compliance on site.
• Schedule, conduct and evaluate inspections and quality monitoring activities.
• Prepare inspection/test plans and document tests, measurements, reports and turnover docs.
• Identify and report non-conforming work and maintain non-conformance log.
• Oversee daily reports, field observations, punch lists, quality reports and as-builts.
• Stay updated on federal, industry and company standards; educate teams on changes.
• Work with safety to identify hazards and remediate as needed.
• Ensure inspections and punch lists are stored per policy.
• Monitor site adherence to quality plan and propose updates.
• Use mock-ups to establish quality standards and identify lean improvements.
